Loans
A library card is required to borrow materials. (Need to get a card?)
We have a wide variety of materials available for browsing and check out. Loan periods are as follows:
14 Days:
New fiction
Magazines
Compact disks
28 Days:
Nonfiction
Older fiction
All children's items
7 Days:
DVDs
Civil service test books
Current issues of magazines and reference materials do not circulate.

Renewals
All Ogdensburg materials, except magazines, may be renewed. Materials borrowed from other libraries may have restrictions.
Items may be renewed by phone, in person, or on the Internet provided they are not overdue and have not been placed on reserve. You should have the item with you when renewing.

Interlibrary Loan
If we do not have the title you want, it may be possible to order it from another library. You may do this yourself from the online catalog, or ask a library staff member to do it for you. Our items may also be reserved in the same way. If the item you want is unavailable, please see a staff member.

Fines and Charges
Fines for all items are $0.15 per day. You will receive notification by mail or email if your item has been overdue for more than a month.
Any patron who has lost books or other materials will be charged the cost of the item as determined by the library plus a $2.00 processing charge.
Damaged materials will be charged at cost of repair. Damage resulting from fair wear and tear will not result in charges. Please advise library staff whenever you find damaged materials.
Unpaid fines and/or fees and charges in excess of $5.00 will result in the suspension of borrowing privileges until such time as fines/fees are paid.
