MEET THE GRINCH It’s here! Join us this Saturday the 16th for a Who-bilation from 2 – 3:30 PM. We’ll be reading Dr. Seuss’s classic holiday book, munching on snacks, doing crafts, and even meeting the Grinch in person. Stop in for big fun!
SOCIAL HOUR We’ll be serving seasonal cookies and coffee this Wednesday the 13th at 2 PM. Stop in to chat with your neighbors (or just get in out of the cold.)
SNOWFLAKES Our adult craft this month involves making attractive snowflake ornaments out of clothespins. Join us this Thursday the 14th at 2 PM; all materials are provided.
MOVIE NIGHT Get ready for more minions at our movie night this Thursday at 5:30 PM. We’ll have popcorn and drinks to share as you watch the latest movie in this popular animated series.
REGULAR PROGRAMS Music and Movement for toddlers is Tuesday at 10 AM. Story Time for ages 3 – 6, with picture books and crafts, is on Wednesday and Saturday at 10:30 AM. Personalized computer help will be available this Saturday the 16th from 11 AM – 12 PM. Call the library or check out our website for all the details on all of our upcoming events.
QUOTE OF THE DAY Have a funny, thoughtful, or inspirational quote you want to share? Ask for the star and dry-erase marker at our front desk, and write your quote on the whiteboard near our new books.
JUST ARRIVED There are dinosaurs on the shelves this week. Give your child Pinocchio Rex and Other Tyrannosaurs to teach them about a wide variety of carnivores they might not know existed, or sit down with them and read Santa Rex for a story about a girl celebrating Christmas with her very large, very scaly companions. For another seasonal tale, try Small Walt, where the town’s tiniest snowplow saves the day when a big storm rolls in. Cats also feature in a few of our newest books. I Won’t Eat That begins with a cat rejecting his cat food and setting out to discover what other animals eat. For older children, His Royal Whiskers follows the adventures of a prince turned into a kitten and the alchemists assigned to change him back. If that isn’t to your child’s taste, we also have the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, Getaway.
We welcome your QUESTIONS, COMMENTS, CONCERNS, PURCHASE REQUESTS, AND PROGRAMMING IDEAS. REGULAR HOURS are 9 AM to 8 PM Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM on Wednesday and Friday, and 9 AM – 3 PM on Saturday. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at your library!
