WEEKLY QUOTE  “Summertime, and the reading is easy . . . Well, maybe not easy, exactly, but July and August are hardly the months to start working your way through the works of Germanic philosophers. Save Hegel, Heidegger, and Husserl for the bleaker days of February.” – Michael Dirda, American writer

JUST ARRIVED  Stop in to check out our latest selections on DVD and Blu-Ray.  We have video biographies of Donald Trump and Steve Jobs and a new documentary on National Lampoon as well as recent hit movies like Deadpool, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, and 10 Cloverfield Lane.  For children, we’ve added Kung Fu Panda 3 and Zootopia.  Both were recent movie night selections, but if you couldn’t make it to the library when they were shown drop in now and take them home.  And, as always, we have new book additions as well.  Expand your artistic horizons with Micro Macramé or Drawing Perspective, or brush old grammar rules aside and accept that Accidence Will Happen.  In biography, No Way But Gentlenesse is a memoir of falconry and recovery, Threading My Prayer Rug details a Muslim immigrant’s journey from Pakistan to America, and The Rainbow Comes and Goes sees journalist Anderson Cooper and his mother Gloria Vanderbilt look back at their lives.

We welcome your QUESTIONS, COMMENTS, CONCERNS, PURCHASE REQUESTS, AND PROGRAMMING IDEAS.  Contact us at 312 Washington Street, ogdlib@ncls.org, 393-4325, or through any of our social media sites (you can do a search for Ogdensburg Public Library, or find the links on our website.)
