WRITE A COMIC BOOK This week we kick off our August drawing contests. Children ages 5 – 11 can create their own superhero using one of the entry forms available on the Summer Reading table. Those ages 12 – 18 can create their own comic book. Need tips? We’ll be holding workshops on the finer points of designing a comic. The first is this Saturday, August 1st, at 1 PM. Entries for both contests are due by August 31st.

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT Toddlers are invited to shake out their sillies every Tuesday at 10 AM. We’ll have music in the air, instruments to play along, parachutes to hide under, and more. Meet other area families and come dance with us!

STORY TIME Every Wednesday at 10:30 AM we share a picture book (or two) and do a simple craft. All children ages 3 – 6 are welcome.

JUST ARRIVED Looking for something new? We may have it. If you prefer sophomore efforts, both Fredrik Backman (My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry) and Helene Mario (The Lost Concerto) recently published their second novels.
