Update 3/15/2020

Good afternoon,
Please bear with us as work to keep our library clean and sanitized for the safety of our visitors and patrons.  On Monday and Tuesday, we will be cleaning areas of the library on a rotating basis.  Please feel free to call or message the library before coming in, so we can let you know what areas or services are unavailable.  Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.

Penny - Director of OPL

Update

In light of recent developments regarding the COVID-19 virus - Ogdensburg City Schools have closed, the New York Library Association has recommended the closure of all public libraries state-wide, and the state has set limits on groups/gatherings, I wanted to reach out and update our library community.

AT THIS POINT, the library board and I have not made any decisions about the library going forward. I don't have any answers as to whether we will be open or closed starting Monday. I appreciate each and every person who has reached out to me personally, or to the library, to ask about our plans for keeping our visitors and staff safe and healthy - and how that may impact the borrowing of materials, access to technology, and attendance at library programs.

We will keep you posted as decisions are made and plans are implemented.

Thank you for your concern!
Penny Kerfien, Director
