The library is accepting book donations again, but they must be printed within the past 5 years or newer, no mold, no dirt, etc. Thank you for your patience, and please join us at the next Friends Book Sale April 5 - 14!
WEEKLY QUOTE “Libraries store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life. Libraries change lives for the better.” – Sidney Sheldon
NEW PROGRAMS We have two late additions to our Library Week festivities. On Friday at 1 PM, the experts from Lowe’s Home Improvement will host a DIY Indoor Herb Garden class – come put what you learned on Wednesday’s Container Gardening class to use. Saturday, local storyteller Rachel White will bring her puppets to the library and weave a few children’s tales at 11 AM. Please join us if you’re able.
IT’S HERE Follow the butterflies to National Library Week. While Monday’s events have passed, there are still five days left. The Zoo will be here with live animals today at 4 PM, tomorrow is a gardening class at 2; Thursday brings paper-bead making at 5 PM; and Friday features free yoga at 2:30 PM in addition to the DIY class. If you can’t make any of the scheduled events, we also have activities open all week, from a scavenger hunt to literary bingo to a digital presentation on the library’s collection of artwork. If none of that interests you, just grab a daily cup of coffee courtesy of St. Lawrence Valley Roasters – and maybe take a blind date with a book while you sip.
