OCTOBER PROGRAMS  Computer help sessions will be on the 1st, 4th, 15th, and 25th.  Social Hour falls on the 12th, and Movie Night on the 20th.  Our new reading groups will meet on the 13th (Family Book Club discussing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and the 27th (Comic Books and Graphic Novels.)  We’ll be holding two crafting classes: Pumpkin Candle Holders for ages 5 and up on Saturday the 15th and decorative Burlap Pumpkins for adults on the 17th.  Finally, we’ll wrap up the month with a spooky-fun Halloween party on Saturday the 29th.  Join us for treats, costumes, games, and more.

 

REGULAR PROGRAMS  Music and Movement for toddlers is Tuesday at 10 AM.  Story Time for ages 3 – 6, with picture books and crafts, is Wednesday at 10:30 AM.  Drop-on computer help is tonight the 27th and next Tuesday the 4th from 6 – 7 PM and this Saturday October 1st from 11 AM – 12 PM.  Call the library or check out our website for the specifics on all of our upcoming events.

FAMILY BOOK CLUB  Join us this Thursday, the 15th, at 5 PM for the first meeting of our new family book club.  We’ll be reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by Roald Dahl.  You do not have to purchase your own copy or read the book before the meeting.  Middle- and high-schoolers are also invited to the comic book reading club starting later this month on the 29th.

TETRIS MAGNETS  Children ages nine and up can make colorful wooden block magnets for their lockers.  Join us this Saturday, September 10th at 2 PM for fun.

 

OPEN HOUSE  We’re celebrating the completion of two long construction projects, and we want you to join us.  Take a ride in the outdoor lift and the indoor elevator and grab a slice of cake next Monday, the 12th, from open to close.  If you haven’t been to the library in a while, this is the perfect chance to drop in and see what’s new.

 

FAMILY BOOK CLUB  This Fall, the library will be hosting a book club where families can read and discuss a book together.  The meetings will include snacks, crafts, games, and plenty of conversation.  Come learn how to join next Thursday, the 15th, at 5 PM.  Our first selection is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by Roald Dahl.  You do not have to purchase your own copy or read the book before the meeting.
