WORD OF THE WEEK BERM: A strip of land separating two areas. Originally it was a flat space, but in modern times it is generally a human-made construction of earth – or, on ski trails, snow.
MARCH EVENTS Kick off the month next Thursday the 9th at 5 PM with a Lego Party to celebrate the library’s new Lego wall, funded by a grant from the North Country Library System. We’ll be playing games, making Lego-themed items to take home, and having fun. Children can also celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a little early on Thursday the 16th at 5 PM. For adults, survivalist and author Gene LaLonde will be offering tips on getting through emergency
situations – both natural and man-made – on the 21st. The monthly Social Hour will be on the 8th, and monthly movie night will be Thursday the 23rd. Additional computer help sessions will be offered on Saturday the 18th from 11 AM – 12 PM and T
uesday the 28th from 6 PM – 7 PM.
REGULAR PROGRAMS Music and Movement for toddlers is Tuesday at 10 AM. Story Time for ages 3 – 6, with picture books and crafts, falls on Wednesday
and Saturday at 10:30 AM. Computer help hours will be held this Saturday March 4th from 11 AM – 12 PM and next Tuesday the 7th from 6 – 7 PM. Call the library or check out our website for all the details on all of our upcoming events.
