WORD OF THE WEEK  Eldritch: refers to something very eerie – most literally, other-worldly

BOOK SALE  The bargains continue this week during regular library hours – from books to magazines to puzzles to CDs and DVDs.  Don’t miss the bag sale this Saturday the 4th – for $5 you’ll be given a bag to stuff as full as you can.  (Of course, you can purchase more than one bag.)  All profits go the Friends of the Ogdensburg Public Library, which funds programming and other purchases for the library throughout the year.

CANDLE HOLDER  Children ages 5 and up can come make a fall-themed candle holder this Thursday November 2nd at 5 PM.

NOVEMBER EVENTS  For adults, our monthly crafting session involves making a twine-wrapped centerpiece.  Join us at 2 PM on Thursday the 9th.  Social Hour falls at 2 PM on Wednesday the 8th this month, while Movie Night is Thursday the 16th at 5:30 PM.  Survivalist and author Gene LaLonde returns to answer your survival-skills questions on Tuesday the 15th at 6 PM.  Drop-in computer help sessions will be Saturdays the 4th and 18th from 11 AM – 12 PM and Tuesdays the 7th and 28th from 6 PM – 7 PM.  Our last November event is Family Book Club, meeting on Thursday the 30th at 5 PM.  We’ll be reading The Year of the Dog by Grace Lin and trying traditional Taiwanese foods.
