ADULT CRAFT  In honor of the approaching Spring we’ll be making a floral craft this Thursday the 14th at 2 PM.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY  Bring your children to a treat-and-mystery-filled scavenger hunt this Saturday the 17th at 11 AM as our mischievous – and very popular – leprechaun visitor returns.

SOCIAL HOUR  We’ll have coffee and sweet treats this Wednesday the 14th at 2 PM.

WRITER OF THE WEEK  Born on Leap Day in 1920, Howard Nemerov was twice Poet Laureate of the United States, in the 1960s and the 1980s, and in 1977 both a National Book Award winner and a Pulitzer Prize winner.  You can read some of his collected poems at the library, and also check out his son Alexander’s introduction to Frederic Remington: The Color of Night.

MARCH EVENTS  Our adult craft this month will feature art on small canvases.  Join us on Thursday the 8th at 2 PM.  The following Thursday at the same time will be our relaxing coloring circle.  Movie Night will be that same day, the 15th, at 5:30 PM.  We’ll be watching a movie about a boy struggling to adjust to middle school.  March will feature two of our most popular children’s events.  Join us on Saturday the 17th at 11 AM for a St. Patrick’s Day scavenger hunt, and come back on the 31st for our Ninja Easter Egg Hunt.  In between, you can prepare for April Fool’s Day by reading Mac Barnett’s The Terrible Two for the Family Book Club.  It will meet on Thursday the 22nd at 5 PM, when we’ll dream up some good pranks to use on friends and family.  Finally, Social Hour will be on the 14th at 2 PM and computer help sessions will take place on the 3rd, 6th, 17th, and 27th.

REGULAR PROGRAMS  Music and Movement for toddlers is Tuesday at 10 AM.  Story Time for ages 3 – 6, with picture books and crafts, is on Wednesday and Saturday at 10:30 AM.  Individualized drop-in computer help will be tonight February 27th and next Tuesday March 6th from 6 – 7 PM and this Saturday the 3rd from 11 AM – 12 PM.  Call the library or check out our website for all the details on all of our upcoming events.
